Fresh Beat Band Tour – Live in Concert

What about a Fresh Beat Band tour? Since this website has been around, the #1 thing parents are interested in is news and information about a Fresh Beat Band Tour. When can their children and grandkids get to see the fresh beat band on tour performing live in concert? It’s the #1 topic of any emails I receive.

Back when the fresh beat band were first getting popular, to help promote the new tv show, nick jr gave a concert in New York’s central park.

Unfortunately you had to get tickets. I wasn’t able to get tickets to the concert for my kids and they were sold out rather quickly. The concert also included performances from other tv shows like Yo Gabba Gabba. I have included some video of that concert below on the page.

So, will the Fresh Beat Band tour? Like Dora and Diego Live, Thomas, and the Wiggles? Actually all 3 of those live tours we attended as a family. Will they ever go on the road from city to city performing for their fans?

I have no doubt they would sell out just about everywhere they went. But, I’m not sure if that will happen are here’s why.

UPDATE: A while back I did say that I wasn’t sure it would happen like you can see in the sentence above, but I have totally reversed my opinion on this. First, here’s what I said way back when about why I didn’t think there would be a fresh beat band tour.

They are not a real band, but characters on a tv show. They are closer to the Monkees than The Wiggles. The Wiggles go on tour. I’ve taken my kids to see them and they put on a great show. But, they were an actual band that got turned into a tv show.

The Fresh Beat Band is a TV show that would have to get turned into a band.

Well, that was then and this is now.

The show has grown by leaps and bounds in popularity. They have kind of gone on a mini tour without any announcement. Maybe this was to test the waters out and see how fans would react if they did embark on a full blown announced and promoted – Fresh Beat Band Tour. Something like “Fresh Beat Band, Great Day Tour” or something similar. Can’t you just picture that? Coming soon to a concert hall near you.

They performed in sesame place in early 2011. They sang about 5 songs and the kids just ate it up. And I mean ate it up. Little kids from ages 1-5 were all dancing in their seats and the aisles.

They performed live in concert on The View. Another national tv show.

They were also a featured performer on the National Day of Play in Washington DC. They were the first live concert on the main stage.

During this “mini test fresh beat band tour” as I call it, they are even set to make a special appearance during a concert with Jason Mraz at Carnegie hall in nyc.

The fresh beat band cast has also let it “slip” out that a tour is indeed being planned although the dates are not set yet. I have heard fall of 2011 as well as 2012. In fact, Thomas Hobson, the actor who plays the role of “Shout” on the TV show says he has some news that he is waiting to share “when he is allowed”.

An officially announced fresh beat band tour perhaps?

The people who are on the mailing list have thanked me because by entering their email address and signing up for the mailing list, they were some of the first people to be notified of fresh beat band live concerts in NYC, sesame place in PA and other places. They were then able to get tickets before they were sold out.

Here is some video footage of what may have been the first fresh beat band concert. This was in New York’s central park before the TV show even aired its first episode.

So I used to say “don’t lose hope” and express my doubts about concerts and a tour. Just look what I wrote:

Don’t lose hope though. If the fresh beat band keeps gaining popularity, maybe nickjr. would sponsor a touring live show featuring members of the tv show. The Fresh Beat Band tour may just take place if enough people want it.

Plus, think about this. I’m sure you have seen advertisements and commercials for the Yo Gabba Gabba tour that is currently going on. Well, Yo Gabba Gabba first aired back in 2007. They have, around, a 3 year head start on the Fresh Beat Band. Now if Yo Gabba Gabba is on tour, you know the fresh beat band will be touring as well.

Well, it is all but a foregone conclusion that it’s going to happen. In fact is has already been happening, but without any central organization. My how things change in just a matter of months.

How large of a tour will it be? Don’t know. Will they play at an arena near you? You’ll find out as soon as any concert dates are announced.
